The Molecular Diagnostic Center at the Faculty of Nursing and Allied Health Professions-BZU was inaugurated on 28 October 2010. The event was attended by the Vive-President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Sami Sayrefi, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing and Allied Health Profession, Dr. Tamer Essawi, Dr. Adel-Al-Zagha, Dr. Ashraf Mimi from the World Bank, representatives of Medical Equipment Companies, faculty members and those concerned.

In his opening address, Dr. Essawi addressed the components  of the project and the obstacles encountered during the implementation. He added that the project budget was $250,000, funded by the World Bank through the Quality Assurance Unit at the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education  

He thanked the World Bank and the medical companies that cooperated with the Faculty. The attendees toured around the Molecular Diagnostic Center and expressed their admiration for the efforts undertaken to make the project a success.
